What We Believe

Cooper’s Hope is rooted in the finished work of Jesus Christ. We believe Scripture is the final authority for faith, doctrine, and life, and we seek to approach biblical prophecy with humility, reverence, and hope.

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the trustworthy foundation for truth, doctrine, correction, instruction, and spiritual growth. Scripture reveals the heart of God, the person of Jesus Christ, the way of salvation, and the hope of His return.

One God in Three Persons

We believe there is one true God who exists eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is holy, loving, sovereign, merciful, and faithful.

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully divine and fully human. He was born of a virgin, lived without sin, revealed the Father’s heart, healed the sick, performed miracles, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the grave, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and now intercedes for us.

We believe Jesus will return just as He promised. Because of this, we watch with faith, live with hope, and remain ready.

Salvation by Grace Through Faith

We believe salvation is a gift from God, received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. God sent His Son not to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

We believe Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. There is forgiveness, righteousness, and eternal life in Him.

The Gospel of Grace

We believe the gospel is the good news of God’s grace revealed through Jesus Christ. Through the cross, Jesus accomplished what we could never accomplish by our own effort. We are not made righteous by works of the law, but by faith in Christ and His finished work.

Grace is not permission to live carelessly or continue in sin. True grace transforms the heart, teaches us to reject ungodliness, and empowers us to live in a way that honors God.

Victory Over Sin

We believe sin separates humanity from God, but Jesus has provided complete forgiveness and redemption through His blood. In Christ, believers are no longer under the dominion of sin. We are called to live as people made new by grace.

We believe the answer to sin is not fear, shame, or condemnation, but a deeper revelation of Jesus, His sacrifice, His forgiveness, and our righteous identity in Him.

Repentance and Transformation

We believe true repentance involves a genuine change of heart and mind that turns us toward God. It is not merely outward behavior, but an inward response to the grace, goodness, and finished work of Jesus Christ.

We believe sanctification is both a gift and a process. Through Jesus, believers are made righteous before God. As we grow in grace and in the knowledge of Him, our lives are progressively transformed to reflect His character.

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is our Comforter, Helper, Teacher, and Guide. He leads believers into truth, strengthens us, reveals Jesus, and empowers us to live fruitful lives.

We believe in the gifts of the Spirit and the fruit of the Spirit, and we desire to walk in both the power and character of God.

Baptism

We believe water baptism is an outward expression of faith in Jesus Christ. It represents the believer’s identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord.

Holy Communion

We believe Holy Communion is a sacred remembrance of the death of Jesus Christ and all He accomplished for us at the cross. As we partake of the bread and the cup, we remember His body given for us and His blood shed for the forgiveness of sins.

Communion points us back to Jesus—our forgiveness, healing, peace, and wholeness are found in Him.

God’s Heart to Provide

We believe our heavenly Father cares deeply for His children and knows what we need. We believe His blessings are not limited to material provision, but include peace, wisdom, strength, purpose, generosity, and soul prosperity.

We reject greed, materialism, and the pursuit of wealth as the center of life. Our priority is to seek Jesus first, trust the Father’s care, and live generously toward others.

The Return of Jesus

We believe Jesus Christ will return. We do not set dates or claim to know the day or hour. Instead, we take seriously His call to watch, pray, discern the times, and remain faithful.

Cooper’s Hope exists because Jesus told His followers to be spiritually awake, not afraid; discerning, not deceived; hopeful, not shaken.

Unity in the Body of Christ

We believe all who belong to Jesus are part of His body. While Christians may differ in traditions, practices, and secondary doctrines, we value unity around the foundational truths of the faith: the authority of Scripture, the deity of Christ, His death and resurrection, salvation by grace through faith, and the hope of His return.

We seek to honor the body of Christ with humility, love, and grace.

Our Heart

Cooper’s Hope is not built on fear, speculation, or sensationalism. It is built on Jesus Christ.

We believe the proper response to the signs of the times is not panic, but readiness; not despair, but hope; not condemnation, but grace; not division, but faithfulness to Christ.

We watch because Jesus told us to watch.

We hope because Jesus has overcome.

We live ready because Jesus is coming again.
